Where is the column, you say?

If you need to find a column in a database then you can always look for it by querying the sysobjects table

select * from sysobjects where id in ( SELECT id FROM syscolumns WHERE name  like ‘%columnname%’)

I’m not an oracle guru like Jarva, but supposedly you can  do the same in Oracle with this (from here)

select * from dba_tab_cols all_tab_cols where table_name like ‘table%’ and column_name like ‘column%’ ”
